GROWING UP IN A REAL ESTATE FAMILY

I was raised in a family that lives and breathes Real Estate. My Grandmother, Olive Martin, was one of the first female realtors in Canada. She visited 12 real estate offices before landing a job as a real estate agent which she kept for 35 years. My Father, Ross  Martin, was a builder and real estate agent for 25 years. I learned about financing first with my Dad, obtaining building loans and mortgages for various projects. Furthermore, I learned the process of building a new home, developing land and re-zoning property. My Mother, Joy Martin, has worked as a designer and real estate agent for 25 years.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I successfully started as an Assistant Framer for Flower City Homes of Victoria, B.C. in 1988. Worked my way up to Sales Manager by 1992 selling 24 units in a 30-day period for a total of 2.4 million dollars.

By 1995, I moved on to Century Development Inc. of St. Catharines, Ontario. As Owner/Project Manager, I was required to estimate costs of projects, re-zone sites for development, obtain the building permits, oversee the  day-to-day construction of the projects and handle multiple rental properties. I also arranged financing for building projects, created financial preliminary outlines for prospective buyers, represented the the company at municipal hearings and managed the project sales department.

I have 20 years of experience selling real estate in Niagara. Some high lights are the successful completed Real Estate Law, Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 Residential and Commercial at the OREA College in Toronto, Ontario. Presently I work as a Broker/Owner with "Martin & Stewart Real Estate" with a team of 6 agents. in St. Catharines, Ontario. I have been recognized as a Top Broker Producer (Top 2% Internationally). Furthermore, I have been recognized by Scotia Bank for assisting the first no money down mortgage client in Scotia Bank history. I am also a member of the Scotia Bank Million Dollar Club.
